Church, Communication and Culture ( CC&C) is an international Open Access journal indexed by Scopus, dedicated to deepening knowledge and understanding of the dialogue between religion, communication and culture in the public area, based on comprehensive data analysis with a theoretical framework or a relation to current events, and paying special attention to the Catholic Church. The journal is published by the School of Church Communications at the Pontificia Università della Santa Croce (Rome) in partnership with Routledge, Taylor & Francis (UK). CC&C is committed to applying critical thought to the communicative dimension of the Catholic Church’s activities to engage society and promote dialogue within cultures. Thus, it publishes theoretical inquiry based on empirical research and intellectual debate, rather than focusing only on technological data. Submissions could include research articles or case studies related to the following subjects, among others: • Cultural studies on Christian faith and religion • Christian identity in mass media history • Public opinion regarding the Church and Christian values • Church institutional communications • Theology of communications • Media ethics • Bioethics and defence of life • Representation of family in the media • Case studies on crisis management in the Church • Case studies on public events in the Church • Case studies on media analysis • Religious tourism • Christianity in the visual arts • Image of man and God in literature • Image of man and God in film and TV series • Secularization and religious identity • Dialogue between religions • Religious inculturation and transculturation • Management of the Cultural Heritage of Christianity • Religion in social and digital media Church, Communication and Culture operates a double-blind peer review policy. All articles will be made freely and permanently available online through gold open access publication. There are no charges for submitting an article, but there is an Article Publishing Charge if the paper is accepted. Waivers and other funding options are available.
