The Journal of Pediatric Surgery Case Reports is an Open Access journal dedicated to advancing and expanding the field of pediatric surgery through the publication of case reports and case series. The Journal is a companion to the Journal of Pediatric Surgery and the Journal of Pediatric Surgery Open. All submissions undergo a minimum of two peer reviews. Only those submissions that are of high quality AND that strictly adhere to the CARE guidelines are accepted for publication. The aims of the Journal of Pediatric Surgery Case Reports are to: 1. Contribute to improving the surgical care of newborns, infants, children and adolescents through the publication of rare conditions, unexpected clinical findings, new effects of known therapies, and outcomes of novel surgical interventions. 2. Promote clinical research by serving as a platform to disseminate evidence obtained by single episodes of pediatric surgical care. 3. Support medical education by presenting unique clinical scenarios that require critical thinking from authors and readers.
