Please be advised that there is currently a delay in responses and in handling submissions. The Editor-in-Chief of African and Black Diaspora, Dr Martin L. Boston, passed away suddenly on 17th August 2025. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this sad time. Thank you for your patience while the wider editorial team takes some time away to process this tragic news, before we turn to thinking about how to handle new and existing submissions, and to finding a new Editor-in-Chief for the journal. African and Black Diaspora is a multi-disciplinary peer-reviewed international journal that seeks to broaden and deepen our understanding of the lived experiences of people of African descent across the globe by publishing theoretically and historically informed as well as empirically grounded works in the social sciences and humanities that are intellectually challenging and illuminating.
