Sidney Hertzberg (1910-84) created Current in New York in May 1960. During his long and distinguished career, Mr. Hertzberg was a renowned journalist for the New York Times, Fortune, Time, Commentary, and Edward R. Murrow's See It Now; represented the United Nations in postwar China and India; and served as executive director of the League for Industrial Democracy.
