Veterinary and Animal Science (VAS) was first published in 2016 as a fully open access publication from Elsevier with Dr Andy Butterworth as Founding Editor. VAS attained its first Impact Factor of 1.5 in 2022 under the leadership of Professor Aduli Malau-Aduli of the University of Newcastle, Australia, as Editor-in-Chief from 2018. VAS strongly encourages a multidisciplinary, original and innovative scientific approach to research in the animal science and animal health spectra. The scope of the journal is streamlined into two major sections and covers ruminant, monogastric, aquaculture, equine, camelid and other domestic animal species: 1) Animal Science and 2) Veterinary Science
