The Journal of Thermal Spray Technology is the leading international, peer-reviewed journal, publishing contributions on all fundamental and practical aspects of thermal spray science and engineering. As the primary vehicle for knowledge transfer from thermal spray research and development, its mission is to synergize the rapidly evolving thermal spray industry and related sectors by presenting the latest research, innovation, and advances in fundamental science and engineering applications of thermal spray and related coating technologies. In addition to conventional thermal spraying processes, this includes related high temperature surface modification techniques such as laser cladding, plasma transferred arc (PTA) welding, laser treatment of thermal-sprayed surfaces, and hybrid techniques involving thermal spraying. Furthermore, application of thermal spraying and related techniques for additive manufacturing, such as cold spraying and laser-directed energy deposition, is within our scope.
